We had another baby calf born a couple of days ago!
Tim, of course, is thrilled it's a little bull calf because he has his 2 steers for 4-H this Fall:).
He decided to name him Meatloaf.
He decided to name him Meatloaf.
Meatloaf is half Red Angus, 1/4 Charolais, and 1/4 Hereford.
The Charolais breed tends to throw big babies with lots of bone structure.
He is definitely a moose!

What a big boy! So cute to look at! We are having a chilly weekend that brought a few sniffles and coughs with it but it hasn't stopped me from making those Apple Rolls! Yum :)
Nice calf! Meatloaf is a great name. We have a half-angus half-jersey named Charlie. He's not so little anymore!
Have a lovely weekend.
Aw! Meatloaf is so very handsome!
He is so cute. Meatloaf is a perfect name.

how cute! i love new calves!
We learned along time ago we could not eat anything we named. We had "HArry" and then we had Harry's burgers which sat in the freezer forever. Maybe we'd been OK if we hadn't taught Harry how to shake hands!
Meatloaf is adorable
What fun to have so much new life about you. He's adorable. : )
He is beautiful! I want one! ;)
I know that our family cannot have a cow. There is just no way and it wouldn't be good for the cow. But, man oh man, when I see calves like this I just want one so badly! He's adorable and looks quite snuggley.
