Thank You for Your Prayers

I just wanted to pop in for a brief moment and thank you all so very much for your prayers for my Dad.
He passed away last Monday very peacefully, which was a blessing.
We are so sad and counting on God's grace daily for healing.
Thank you for all of your kind words and prayers....they meant so much!
He had a very brave 4 month battle with Lou Gehrig's disease.

Thank you also for your patience and understanding in my absence at Blissfully Content.
I hope to be back soon.
Blogging for me has been such a treat and I have enjoyed meeting so many neat people:).

Thank you again!

~Julia

Oh Julia,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I know the pain runs deep.

But not so deep that God can not heal, can not soothe, can not comfort.

Sometimes I think God allows us to feel the sting of death so that we can know more intimately just how he felt as His only Son hung on the cross...for us.

I will continue to lift you and your family up in prayer - for comfort and for joy as you remember him.

Hugs,
Carol

Dearest Julia,

I am sorry for your loss, and for the seemingly unfillable hole in your heart at present. But I have first hand knowledge that God can heal your wounded heart, as he has now healed your father, made him whole once more. Your father is in the loving embrace of our Lord. Take comfort in that, and know that He wants to heal you as well. Be gentle with yourself now, and accept the love and help of family and friends. My greatest comfort is knowing my father and mother suffer no more . . . that they sing the praises of our Lord face to face where there is no sickness nor sorrow nor sighing, but life everlasting. God bless you and yours always.
