Looking for a sweet treat to share with neighbors this Christmas season?
These little mints are reminiscent of a 1950's recipe are so perfect!
My Grandma used to make them :).
Cream Cheese Mints
8oz. cream cheese at room temperature
6 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. peppermint extract
Blend cream cheese and 3 cups powdered sugar until smooth.
Add peppermint extract and rest of sugar and mix until smooth.
Form little 1/2 inch balls and put on parchment.
Press lightly with your fingers and then press with a fork.
Store in the refrigerator for 2 weeks or in the freezer for 2 months.
You could also add sprinkles...that makes everything better!

I remember my Mom making these when I was little! I think that maybe I need to make a batch for Christmas.
Blessings,
Nadine
I have never heard of or seen these, but they sound and look great! xx
Oh, yes! I need to make these! Thanks for sharing!
These would be so cute with sprinkles! I used to love seeing (and eating) these at weddings when I was little. Might be fun to whip some up this holiday season. :)
These are delicious..
You can color with food coloring, as well as roll in granulated sugar before pressing them with a fork, or using a candy mold to press them into. :) We've done all of this...
Wow. I haven't made or had these in forever. May have to try again soon..
yummy! i haven't ever made these...looking forward to it
Sounds so yummy! I may have to make those. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
I just made these. While they are very good, I would not recommend using a hand mixer to mix them - I almost burned out my motor and pray that it is not burnt out as I am in charge of the mashed potatoes tomorrow. Also, I had to wet my fork each time to make the lines in them - did not press down the cookies first - did that with the fork impression. Thanks for sharing this yummy recipe.
Cate <>< MERRY CHRISTMAS!
