Dancing in the Minefields

I found this song through another blog that I follow and just fell in love with its message. What a beautiful depiction of marriage and the promise that we made.
I think we have all been through trails and tribulations.
I know I wouldn't trade any of it for the world.
I am so glad I get to dance through the minefields with you Darren...
I knew you were mine when you said you wanted to grow old with me:)

You will need to scroll down and pause the music playing on my playlist first:).

I just stumbled onto your blog from another.
Actually I believe led is the word I'm lookin for.
I saw this video and had to watch it.
Through the tears all I can say is thank you.
It will be 15 years this Nov. for my amazing husband I. I am 2 & 1/2 years older than him too!
Life has been unbelievably difficult at times and
he is always there steadying me me when I stumble.
I am so grateful. Thanks for the reminder of the promise. You have a very special quality in you blog. It's very comforting to know there are others out there that live and love as we do.
Thanks. Sue

I love this, too! It really hit home with me - even the $40 rings! After my husband and I survived a horrible time in our marriage where we didn't know if we'd even stay together, we came out on the beautiful other side much stronger. To reaffirm our commitment, we ditched our "traditional" wedding rings (in boxes, not the trash), and purchased a pair for $40 each. They have Song of Solomon 2:16 engraved in his/her version in Hebrew, which is my husband's second language. He used to sign letters to me with this below his signature. Anyway, it is such a gift from the Lord to be able to spend life with the one whom God chose perfectly! The trials strengthen the bond.
