Monogrammed Dish Towels

November happens to be full of birthdays in our family, so Lily and I came up with a fun idea for a couple of Aunties:).

We bought plain white cotton tea towel material at the fabric store.
You could use any thick sturdy cotton.
We hemmed the edges and added a sweet pom- pom edge.

I have also been collecting antique lace and edging from tag sales this summer to use on projects like this:).
Then, we simply chose a font from the computer that we liked, and free-handed the letter in the bottom -center of the tea towel.
Lily embroidered it in red....all by herself:).
They are sweet, pretty, and functional...gotta love that!

If you are new to embroidery, click HERE for a great tutorial.

These would make lovely Christmas gifts...AND...
Lily will be making and selling these in our soon to open Etsy shop, if you would like something ready-made:).
