Canning Ring Pumpkin

My friend posted this darling canning ring pumpkin on her Facebook page the other day from Simply Klassic Home...and I knew I had to have one:).

I have plenty of old canning rings, so this was a perfect project because I had everything on hand!
You will need:
canning rings {I used 14 regular mouth rings} rusty ones are perfect!!
glue gun
small twigs or cinnamon sticks
fabric scrap or burlap for the leaves

Just tie the canning rings at the center and form into a pumpkin.
Insert the twig/cinnamon sticks in the center and glue, add little leaves that you have cut that is it!
I think it took me under 5 minutes.
This is a GREAT kid craft, too!

It is a lovely little Fall decoration for this time of the year:).

That is the cutest pumpkin I have ever seen! I love the idea of using canning lids... there's nothing better than a craft project that doesn't require a trip to the store! And I love it on top of your scale... now I'm thinking that would be such a fun way to add seasonal decor to the kitchen. :-) Hope you had a great weekend!

So clever and adorable. Although, when I read the title I wasn't looking at the picture and I thought it was a recipe for canning pumpkin, lol.

Squeal! This is darling! As I am new to canning I don't own any rusty bands, but I may just use a few of my new ones to make one of these rustic little pumpkins.

I loved your post the other day with all the recipes. SO Inspiring!!! Those homemade sandwich rolls. I'm so makin' those.

I also love that *new* photo of you on your sidebar. You're so beautiful - both inside and out.

Love your new blog design (photo). It's fresh and bright.
This is how I store my rings, tied together with a string. I never thought to fan it out into a pumpkin. So cute.
