I love chocolate and seem to have a piece everyday.
If I don't have real chocolate, I find myself sneaking a few chocolate chips out of the jar throughout the day, just to satisfy my inner craving.
I am diabetic...so this isn't my best move.
In comes the following recipe.
It is decadent, smooth, and your palate will be screaming for more!
AND it is sugar free and will actually aid in weight loss.
Yup.
Almost too good to be true!
Deep Rich Skinny Chocolate
1 cup coconut oil melted on low heat
About 4 shakes of NuNaturals NuStevia or 1 pkt stevia
2 heaping tablespoons organic cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Optional: 1/2 c chopped almonds and tiny shake of sea salt
Combine everything and stir well.
Line a bread pan with parchment paper or wax paper.
Pour into pan and freeze for at least an hour.
Sneak into the freezer and break off a chunk during the day to satisfy your chocolate craving.
I tend not to share my stash :).
Or bring out and let it warm slightly for a creamier version.
Store in refrigerator or freezer wrapped.

This looks great, Julia!! I think I'll make some of this today!! I love a simple, healthy recipe!
Can you use splenda?
Sounds delicious! I'll have to try it. Maybe I won't feel guilty about sneaking bits of this...
You could totally use Splenda Michelle!
I make a similar chocolate that uses honey. I realize that it IS sugar, but I always think it's better than refined sugar. We love our "good for you chocolate." I'll have to try your version. Thanks for sharing it.

I am so happy to see this recipe! I am also diabetic and have just started on fast and long acting insulin. It is so hard to figure out what to eat. I love chocolate and am very excited to try this!
This looks like an awesome recipe. Think I'm gonna try it, I'll let you know how it goes.
love the blog!
This looks so yummy! Homemade treats are always the best!
that looks so yummy...what if I added some sea salt to it? I love that combo...

I am not a diabetic, but love chocolate toooooooo much, I'll have to give this try, Corinne
Yum! It looks and sounds delicious. I make one similar without stevia, shredded coconut instead of almonds. Yours looks much nicer.
Bless you!! I'm really trying to stay away from sugar, so far I have done fairly well, but I really miss chocolate! Tonight I had such a big craving for chocolate and then I remembered this post and I just happened to have all the required ingredients!! Yea! It's chilling right now and I can't wait to try some!! :) thanks so much!
