Love Notes from Heaven

Losing someone you love makes you acutely aware of the blessings around you.
Like God sends little love notes wrapped in everyday occurrences.
We've been seeing love in the simple...

Our neighbor's just bought sheep...and look at the LOVE this sweet girl is sharing!

Big brother giving the littles a ride...

My oldest son flying his plane on a beautiful warm sunny day...

Baking a homemade almond tart with the kids....made with love... and lots of jam!
{Recipe coming soon}.

The "girls" have been giving us so many eggs!
We have been noticing a couple that are broody.
Maybe we will have new little chicks this Spring?

Mr. Roosty is the nicest little Banty rooster ever.

We have been getting a few clean up chores done outside.
Fresh is such a gift!

Our neighbor's little goat LOVES our dog Ruthie.
They have been spending a lot of time hanging out on opposite sides of the fence.

Our three wild apple trees...they are a great source for bird watching.

It is starting to feel like Spring!
The snow has melted and we have slick mud, but I'll take it!
The wind hasn't been blowing too hard...just perfect for flying plastic bag kites.
My kids are super resourceful :).

We have all been enjoying our unit study on local birds.
I think I love learning just as much as the kids and it has been so fun to identify birds we see everyday.

These moments, though small and simple, are gifts.
Little love notes sent from heaven.

Hoping you are discovering God's love notes all around during this special time of the year.

Beautiful photos, lovely words, and sweet signs of Spring and God's handiwork throughout! My two yearold was sitting next to me and when he saw the dirt road picture he piped up "I want to go "dare"" :)

It is so important to find and acknowledge those simple everyday beauties. I think it makes the bitter things a little easier.

Oh AMEN Julia!! I know that after my dad passed, (it will be one year next week) the Lord was soo good to me and sent wonderful love notes to me. :) It was Easter weekend - the fist big holiday after he passed, and as we were heading home from visiting family, on a clear day- there in the sky was a small piece of a rainbow. A gift from above! He is so good to those that Love Him! I am happy to see you are seeing His love through this difficult time!! ♥

Oh and I had to laugh at the plastic bag kite - my husband used to do that as a kid and made a couple for our girls just the other day - I'd never heard of it before then!

What a beautiful outlook on life - to really see God's little gifts & love notes to us!
Can't believe you are talking about spring. Here in Manitoba (Canada) we are in the thick of winter. Approximately 4 feet of snow have accumulated since December and today is -32 Celcius. (You'll have to do a conversion to see what that is in Fahrenheit - I'm sure it will shock you!)

I love your pictures! They depict such peacefulness and serenity. I live out in the country, too, on a dirt road and I certainly hope the Lord chooses to leave my family here. I have just begun to be interested in homesteading and I hope to start out with chickens soon!

So happy to have found your blog!
